It's very well written, and descriptive.

I think I've found another talent to add to my Favorite Author's list.

I have to tell you thank you, you're one of the few people who has genuine talent anymore.

very nicely done, it's very simple, but the main character (is it the main character speaking? anyway), or how she speaks, is a great way to begin the story in the prologue. it's nice enough to draw me in to the next chapter, even in my semi-sleep-deprived state.

and so, i'm off to the next chapter!

But so long as I'm gushing over it, I guess I could make suggestions. For one, it was kinda confusing when you first introduced Alec. I had to reread that part twice to get it.
