The use of specific locations, as they attach themselves to individuals really works well. It gives a universal reference point for the reader, and escalates a simple visual into a much grander portrait. I like the swirl of this. The complexity of emotion with the questioning, and the reminiscence. The reader gains an identifying grasp of the individuals through the way that you've developed the seperations. Excellent work.

i think maybe i can take a guess at who you are talking about? but i feel like this often also, people move on and its either you are left behind or you are the one who moves forward. sad,isn't it. but i thought you conveyed the sense of nostalgia well. haha
