Great ending ... it sounds like intrigue. And it does that tone ever-so-well.

I love the alliteration because ... well, I just love alliteration period. But it's goodness. Yay!

Subject matter ... eh. Dunno if I, personally, find it to be such (then again, I live in the woods and there aren't any alleys or such ...), but it is nice. Sort of longing for more while knowing you truly want less. Less is more, sometimes, especially in poetry, so ... I'll give it an 8.5. Lovely, lovely.
