I like kind of the "anti-war" message that kind of lies in the undertow of this story. ^-^ It was saddening and dark. The only constructive criticism I really have for this piece is the bit concerning her best friend dying. It seems as if it were added in as an afterthought; it really has no place really in the story! Perhaps there is another way her sadness and the premise of the story can connect?
