that was really really beautiful (i NEVER comment on stories either, i think this is the first time). this is really impressive writing for this website as well. i went back and reread several times. it was beautiful in its simplicity, that kind of sadness that makes your chest ache a little. really beautiful work, more like a piece of art.

Wow this was so sad and yet so sweet, the ending was rather predictable though since a few lines of their conversation sort of gave it away. The hibiscus flower scent was also a key identifier in the mystery woman's appearance. Lovely imagery and I love how he remembered halfway through--the whole atmosphere of the story and even the setting was realistic.
