Who would have thought that flies were such good examples for the rest of us? It's bothering me a bit that you assume that people just swat flies due to annoyance. I'll be an annoying know-it-all and point out that there are some species of flies that cause very serious diseases (I believe that the tsetse would be a key example?) and others that bite painfully.
