 Thirteen Dreams 2007-07-09 . chapter 1Look, I'm going to be honest - the only reason I clicked on the 'Religion' section under poetry was in the hope that someone would have written some good religion-based poetry; for when it's done well, The stories (not merely Christian ones, but stories of all religions) can be fascinating. But I am most definitely not a believer.
And so I see this, and I see nothing but naivete'. It's short, it's basic, and it thanks an entity who, to the best of my knowledge, does not exist. To quote Armand from 'Interview with the Vampire': "I know nothing of God. I have never seen a vision, nor witnessed a miralce." |
 skeptical 2007-07-09 . chapter 1 This God of which you speak is not always "So Good." He sometimes "goes" and sometimes "stays." Ask those who's skin was melted in the latest US-led Iraqi crusade. God has so little to do with anything real, except perhaps to motivate people to speak loosely of this illusion or that, or to motivate people to bomb each other. I trust a person who trusts in himself, rather that some illusory contradiction. |
