I'll be honest with you, I quite like this. Very passable, very passable (that's about as juch praise as you'll get from the northern english folk. We're hard to please.) I think it fits and flows well, and am quite close to referencing it in my second Hackers book. Can I?

It flowed, and it felt objective, yet with a personal touch. A little hard to describe. It sounded a little cold too. I don't exactly know how you define if it's poetry or not, so I won't say. Anyways.
