Honestly, I've never really heard of the groom not being included before ... maybe tradition isn't so adhered to in Australia, but it does seem very old fashioned. And your dad agreed with your mum? Big hugs!! You poor thing, I hope you did get some sleep that night! I'm totally on your side with this issue - if your boy wants to be included in seeing the locations and stuff, then he should be. Your mother needs to just accept that ... here's an idea, cos I know she's not just going to accept that - would it be possible to sort of compromise, and have a certain part of the wedding that just you and your mum work on? I dunno, like maybe she could choose all of the flowers or something, with Matty not finding out until later? Something like that would at least give her something that's just for the two of you to work on ... it might work, or it might not. It's just a suggestion.
