This chapter isn't original (no offense) so I was wondering if it's just to give background to the reader before you tell us why her story isn't a happily ever after story, or whatever. I saw a book at Borders like this that was about how Prince Charming didn't turn out to be all she thought he was. Or something. I didn't read it, so I'll read this ^_^ You just need to work on it a bit to ensure it's originality.
