I'm always a bit sceptical whenever I see a poem that rhymes on this site. It always feels forced.

Hence why your poem was quite a nice surprise for me.

Not only does the rhyme work well with the rhythm, but it's, for the most part, subtle. I guess this is more a matter of personal taste, but I really like it when I have to think for a moment about what some parts of the poem are alluding to. However, by throwing in some symbols of cliché love, you also cater to people who prefer to be hit over the head with the meaning of a poem at some point while reading it.

Now, if I were more awake, I might find something that could be improved, but for the moment I don't see much wrong with it.
