I like it; especially the personification of the bench - the use of 'slouch' made me think of Dali's melted clocks for some strange reason.
I do have one suggestion - I would put 'I smiled at melancholy personified' on the 3rd line from the bottom, instead of 'optimized'. I think it makes more sense that way. Even with that, I think those last 3 lines are beautiful. Very simple, but then; most of the beautiful things in this world are often the simplest.
