"Like Peter O'Toole suffering from asthma." I seriously hope that was intended to be funny, because I kinda laughed at that.

A really interesting idea for a series of poems, I must say. I think my favorite bit of this was the first two lines of the last stanza, especially "scraping his wings against metal words." M, that's just nice. And the last line is great, too. Really nice work. Keep writing! :)
