I loved the glimpse of culture and the main characters and just over all, it was a good read. Kudos! I'm going to take a guess and say that The Serpent is Sha-Maed and Da-Ruin is the Moon? maybe. *faving*

Nice story. :D The background about Da-Ruin's priesthood duties was interesting and added depth to the story.

I'm guessing Da-Ruin is the moon? And Sha-Maed is the serpent? The moon seems to represent purity while the serpent tempts others, as a Biblical reference.
