Brilliantly done, sweetie. It was a tad short, but I know how much you favor those over long stories (one of the main differences I find interesting about our fic challenge) On the gammer scale, there were moments when i had to stop and re-read the sentence because of tense issues and awkward phrasing, but it wasn't all that noticeable.

On the emotion end of the spectrum, it was heart-breaking and done SO well. Knowing what it's like to love someone that much, it hurt me to read that last note, on a personal level, it was beautiful. I know someone who's going to Iraq soon, I pray for him and his family for his safe return. Please pray for him too? -Melissa

Absolutely beautiful. It made me cry, twice. I stopped the the middle to calm myself down so my family wouldn't think I was crazy, but when I kept reading I starting crying again. Good job.

Omg, that was one of the saddest stories I've ever read. I LOVED the end - it was so beautiful!

I just wish...I just wish we had gotten more of Jackson's point of view. And also I wished you had stretched this whole thing out a bit - like written a few MORE paragraphs (OR chapters) about how Claire fared during the wait and the pain she felt after the death etc you know?

But still the end made up of for it; I loved it. It was beautiful - it made me almost cry! Good work!

Hey, I have to admit it took me a while to get into the story (it felt vaguely familiar) but I liked the end letter alot. Incorporating texting was a nice touch, too.
