Alfred 2007-08-04 . chapter 6 A very nicely written story indeed! I have to admit that it captivated me from the very start and urged me to continue reading on as each chapter of the story unfolded. One of the most invaluable qualities of any story is portrayed here - a mixture of good and bad, as well as enticing readers to the succeeding chapters by offering suspence and anticipation to the events to follow. It feels just like reading Harry Potter all over again. Very nice indeed. :)
The connection between the first and second chapters were a bit loose, in my opinion... I wondered why the setting changed so abruptly from a quiet solitary house to a warehouse in a middle of a soon-to-be war scene. But as I read on, the events captivated me more and more. I especially liked the subtle way of showing Spirit's good side among all her seemingly acts of evil. And also, I liked how you depicted her as HUMAN, with her flaws and not being indestructable, as well as naming her SPIRIT, and cleverly using that as the title, bringing a double-meaning to the story's title. Also have a very well narrated story, opening my mind's eye to the events that occur, as if watching scenes and characters in my head as I read on. Very nicely done. Looking forward to more stories like this! :) |
