I just finished reading all 34 chapters of "Demons of the Heart," (yep in one go!) and I have to say this the best piece of work I've read in a long time, and possibly of all time. I love how you develop your characters because they're complex and not just straightfoward-I love you demons-type of characters. I really enjoyed reading the emotional relationships between Brad and Zero, Riley and Orin because there is a lot going on than just lust (jealousy, human/demon racial problems, power and authority) that complicate everything! My heart twinges every time there's conflict but it makes the story so intriguing because I don't know where you're headed. Also, the plot you developed is amazing. I really like the idea of demons picking out their humans by the way of Scent Triggers. Again, it's not like demons are automatically attracted to the first human they see. I look forward to what happens next. You did an amazing job! Thanks a lot for writing this! |
