dyingimmortal 2008-12-21 . chapter 21
Ahaha. I thought there was something fishy about Harri/Drake. o_O

I've been periodically reading through your stories whenever I find the time. =P I know I should review every chapter, but I get lazy and instead just want to read the next chapter~ x_X

Er. Yeah.

Anyways.

Fantastic job. =D I love your writing.

And I'll just quit rambling now and go to sleep (it's 4:30 am xP).

apparently her disguise was quite FOOLproof

Loved it. As always.

Actually, I loved it more than usual, because I know how hard it is to continue a protracted storyling like this without it getting boring, repetitive, etc. Congratulations! You succeeded admirably.

I'll definitely keep an eye on Kir . . . he very much intrigues me because he's so odd, and powerful, and I think he's in love with Siara. Maybe. Not sure. It's hard to be certain when he's so innocent.

Oh, in an ealier review, I didn't realize that it asteriked out (is that a word/phrase? Oh well) part of the line I was praising. I meant to say "fate line w-h-o-r-e." Hope that passes inspection. It's still hilarious. It was a perfectly placed line.

I'll start reading Book Dos tomorrow. If I have time. My life's kinda crazy right now. But rest assured, I'll finish the trilogy at some point.

Ah, so sad!

I'm going to miss Drake, despite his ulterior motives. But I knew it was not meant to be. Siara just needed someone handsome, charming, and intelligent to break down her defenses so the real guy could get close enough.

Still sad.
smilingsoprano 2008-04-18 . chapter 19
Wow. That was intense. I really like Siara's hard-bitten Kirccan side; it adds a lot of depth to her previously motherly, controlling character.

It's become fairly obvious that Harri's not the love interest. Otherwise, when they kissed, etc. there would have been a kapow moment. Because of your choice to describe the incidents from a detached perspective, I'm guessing that didn't happen. It was obviously pleasurable, but not life-changing. Like Kieran and Raya.

I'm wondering about Kir . . . he's a definite candidate for the romance.

I wouldn't bother you with my ramblings normally, but since you've gotten so little feedback on this story, I think you should know how I feel as the book progresses. Then you know if you've accomplished your goals as a writer and constructor of the story. Is this useful, or should I only review when I have a correction, suggestion, etc.? If you don't mind reading about my thought process, I don't mind writing about it.
smilingsoprano 2008-04-18 . chapter 15
Ooh, it's getting convoluted. . . .

Fate line **. HA!

Priceless. |-D

Hello again!
Sorry I haven't been reading much . . . I'm inordinately busy, and I got a really great book. Have you read any of Paula Volsky's work? You should. She's a VERY intellectual writer, who incorporates historical events into a fantasy setting. In many ways, she's very similar to you.

Anyway. If Kyrin doesn't have any more memories of Siara, how can he remember that he performed in some of the greatest concert halls? Aren't those memories inextricably tied to her?

"That child was a monster".

That line really made me laugh. You really have individualised characterisation down pat.

I didn't review your earlier chapters because the story was really engaging and so I just devoured chapter after chapter without pausing.
smilingsoprano 2008-04-14 . chapter 10
I'm not sure whether to like or be suspicious of Harri Lokata . . . hm. Oh well. He's a cool character anyway. Even if he's not Siara's love interest (which I don't think he will be), he might loosen her up a bit.

Oh, when you're talking about how they don't let men in the bath house, you say, ". . . mastermind had wizened up . . .". I think you mean "wised up."

Anyway, later.
smilingsoprano 2008-04-13 . chapter 7
This is so good so far!

I'm intrigued by Palli. Why does he have so many "understandings?" I assume it will all eventually be explained.

I'm actually finding myself impatient for a love interest, but I don't mind because it's great that the plot is so good and involved.
smilingsoprano 2008-04-13 . chapter 4
Near the beginning of this chapter, you said "fullproof". Do you mean foolproof?
smilingsoprano 2008-04-13 . chapter 2
Just so you know . . . since this story only has 15 reviews (which is a crime), I'm going to be reviewing much more often. Constant feedback!

I'm seriously creeped out by Alahn.

The introduction of how Siara and Kyrin are soul-linked felt a little abrupt, almost like you were picking up from an earlier story. I assume you intend to reveal more later.
Zsadist 2008-04-07 . chapter 21
ZOMG!! I knew something wasn't right with Drake!! He was just too good to be true...and the whole foreshadowing thing when he told Kir "Thanks, I almost made a huge mistake"...Had my spidy senses tingling. Anyways, from the moment you narrated from Kir's point of view, I was a sold Kir/Siara fan anyways...So I'm not too devastated. ^^ I loved the whole book! Took me a few hours, but I read the whole thing in one sitting. I'll be watching for the next one, so keep writing. Loved it. Loved it.
Cory D Hart 2008-03-12 . chapter 21
I've read the entire series and it is GREAT! If you are just starting reading it, you are in for something special. I do appreciate you constant drive for perfection in rewriting and editing your works.
So...when can we expect the next series?
stargazer1223 2008-02-17 . chapter 21
Of all your fics this series(?) has to be my favorite.
...I'm not quite sure of series is the write term for it though...It never really seems to stop until the end of Book 3 and if I had to stop after Book 1 and wait for Book 2 I think I would suffer from a major anxiety attack. jk
But seriously I think maybe it should be compiled into one, renamed a trilogy, or something...
