hmm... you caught the confusion with time zones really well (because i've never gotten why its a different time in different corners of the world).

fave line: "still stuck in the moment before the dial-tone" because i interpreted as we're stuck in the past, in memory, which equates to the "moment before the dial tone". and "i leave the phone off the hook" as if you're trying to prevent time from moving on. well, thats how i read it, lol.
