This really, really touched me. I've gone through the same thing, and I just think you described it all really well, and just-- it's beautiful.

Very well written and described truly wonderfully.
Some people hear about this from friends of friends who knew someone with, as you called it, Ana. Others from doctors, maybe from tv or some movies. Barely any are able to sit through the retelling of a victim of Ana. Barely ever is anyone able to find a brave enough Ana victim who is willing to speak out, give their thoughts and opinions, tell about their nightmares and their battles, battles with themselves, battles with friends and family. Battles with the way we all are.
This was, in a sense of the word, an amazing retelling.

Oh wow. That was so close to home... I think so many people have been through something like this. I remember the thinspiration pages, the xanga groups, the encouragement from a few years ago (when I had a problem - I'm sure they're still around today, but I couldn't allow myself to search for them...). You explain it all so beautifully and truthfully, I think that the end is the most disturbing part of this story. You think you've overcome it, you start to ignore the scales and the calorie content of things and you think you're Okay, but then one day you suddenly realise that don't actually see the world as a "normal" person will, and you won't, ever.

Anyway, I really liked it. The title was fitting, too.

This is amazing. For something so difficult to write about, you've done a fantastic job.
