abuseAmazingly epic. Like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter mixed and made totally random in a non-random way. I liked.

Thanks for reviewing my stuff.

abuseEntertaining parody. Some parts were funnier than others (I loved the "Don't talk to ospreys" bit) but overall amusing. Some people might find the portrayal of J'mal a bit offensive. I get that it's a parody and that all the characters are basically stereotypes, but you might want to throw in a twist at some point (like them finding out near the end that he isn't actually from the ghetto, or even just mentioning somewhere that another of the characters who doesn't fit the stereotypes is black. If it's done right, social commentary and irony can be highly amusing). I love the way you make fun of the fantasy writing cliches by using all the weird long names and describing unnecessarily how almost every line of dialogue is said ("angrily with wrath" is a favorite). I think the story would be easier to read if you separated the chapters. In my opinion, if you wanted to you could make a longer story out of this by adding in more descriptions and background information. A lot of it sounded like summarizing, although that's fine for a parody, and especially funny for some parts (The unlikely pair made their way across lands, oceans, seas, bays, plateaus, deltas, mountains, hills, prairies, and CONTINENTS!) but you seem like a talented writer who could make a much longer and still enjoyable work from the ideas you have come up with. Either way, I look forward to seeing what else you write in the future.

Keep writing!

abuseThis made me chuckle. :) It really reminded me of The Princess Bride--which is quite an excellent book; you should check it out sometime.

The only major complaint I have with this is how the page stretches.

abuseYou did a good job of making fun of all the cliches from novels like that. :) I liked the beginning and just after we met our hero best. I guess personally I thought the Ghetto stuff wasn't as funny, because he kept saying the same things, but you still did a good job! :D
