The opening line was wonderful. At first, I assumed that it was a case of denial. But by the end, I realized that the narrator really didn't miss this man, despite saying that she had wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. That is incredibly interesting, almost paradoxical, and you pulled it off fantastically.
