That's one of the best poems I've ever read. I especially like the way that some of the verses are told from the third person, and some from her point of view. Good job!

I don't understand why you would call this short, It is almost enough to start a great short story. To be honest, it took so long to get through it that I lost a lot of the emotion that I'm sure you put into it. Maybe reformatting with html so that it isn't every other line would help, but I'm not sure.
