This poem is depressing because it's so true. It seems like most people just don't care anymore, and I worst part is that I think I'm one of them. Whenever I watch the news or look outside, I see all of these things going wrong and don't know how to change it. I just get so overwhelmed that it just seems easier to not care. That's no excuse--I know--but it's true.

Maybe I'll write a poem in response to yours. =)

This was bland, and it should probably be posted in politics. I understand that you may be offended by those who do not care, but I am irritated with those who do. There is no reason to worry oneself about silly things like that. Poverty, who cares? War, yes, it is unfortunate, and the Iraqis did not deserve this. However, getting all worked up about people like me, who do not care about other's suffering is only going to make life more stressful for you. Ah well, it doesn't really matter.

it is true. they say were are free and all here but then we have wars in the US. they might be small but then they get bigger. almost all the people i know are racist, sexist, or predudists. they only care about themselves and it is couirupting the world. people who have every material thing they culd want are unhappy and then those who have no material items have all that is needed
