I love it! I don't even know how to explain how much I love it. I love Arthur. You did such a good job of showing and not telling. Seeing the effects that this has had on Arthur was very powerful and wonderful. I loved Gwen's worrying and how Gawain and the other knights reacted to her (although I would have liked to see a little more development in their friendship and her perhaps being named the knight's mascot later on or something). I just... I love it. Seeing this definately brightened my day.

I will say that I am curious about Gwen's relationship with Merlin. What, in their history, makes her so angry at being ignored by him. Just a bit more development with their relationship.

Hi, I'm reviewing here cause it won't let me review chapter one again.

So, what a lovely little prologue. Now I'm really curious as to where things are going and what comes next. I want to know how we got to that point in the prologue and how come you chose to start there. But it was very well written and if left me wanting more. Much, much more.

um, Guinevere wasn't a warrior or anything, i mean ur story is cool but she was never a warrior so unless you are basing this off the script for the movie King Arthur (that movie blows) tell me what source you are using because like I said, Guinevere was never a warrior, or a Celt. also thanks for the historical note, it was good. but i know for a fact Guinevere and Lancelot never hooked up and were never in love, in the original story Gawain wanted to be the best knight most favored by Arthur and told Lancelot Guinevere wanted to see him and then Gawain went to Arthur and said that Guinevere was betraying him and Arthur runs to Guinevere and sees Lancelot in the room and gets all indignant and wants to kill them. Guinevere and Lancelot retreat with all those knights loyal to them, Gawain was the bad guy, in case you planned on adding that or something. whatever it is written well, kudos

Brilliant! Honestly, it's probably your best chapter. I especially like the beginning, with her being nervous and rethinking statments again and again. Finally she rushes off to meet with them and end up in a totally embaressing situation with Arthur! That was an absolutely wonderful first meeting for the two of them. I especially love the emotions Gwen goes through- nervousness, embaressment, anger, sadness. They all fit together beautifully for her and rounded her out some more. I like the back stories on the knights and the introduction of Morgause as a villian. I can't wait to see a). Gwen's reaction to learning that it was Arthur, and b). what kind of mischeif she gets up to when she goes to join the knights outside. Once again, Bravo.

I dunno... hm...

I do love the look into Gwen and who she is and what her life has been like up till now. It's great insight as to who she is, especially where she admits that she's afraid and she feels limited and then she goes and makes a vow. It's very powerful.

But I feel as though it would be more powerful if it was told instead of shown. This chapter has a feeling of a character sketch, and while very good, almost takes away from the story in a way. Imagine the places this scene could go if Gwen was talking to someone about what she had just heard and how angry she is, but parts of the conversation that she shys away from because admitting such things scare her or her pride won't let her admit to such feelings.

A good chapter, though. It just left me wanting more.

Cute! I heart Gawaina and Terrance, and I can't wait to here their reasoning for glazing over their history. And I can't wait to see the knights of the Round Table!

And it was nice to see that moment where Gwen begins to grow up, where she realizes that bad things actually happen to good people and seeing her desire to stop it.

It's just, the scene transition is a bit abrupt and kinda confusing. For a moment I thought Benjamin was one of the knights. So, maybe just something that says earlier that she's down in the kitchen playing with some children or something.

But yes, very cute. I heart it.

You could probably use a bit more description on the relationship between Gawain and Terence, like why Gawain calls Terence 'mother'. I found that a little confusing, but otherwise it was very good.

Oh, and very sublte on the the author's note. It took me quite a few reads to realize that you were hinting that I really need to read the squire's tales. I applaud you ability to drop such subtle hints in writing. :D

I think I hate your Lancelot more than I hate mine, which is stange, because I tailored mine to hate... so wonderful job on that. I like how he was all miffed at Gawain and Gwen was like 'you're annoying, shut up'

And Gawain! I heart Gawain, always. And I can't wait to see who his squire is. So I shall wait (im)patiently for the next chapter.
