This chapter revealed a bit more about Brendan, or whoever or whatever. A personality chameleon, perhaps? And rather interesting how his intense study of the character threatened to make him lose the Brendan aspect of him. Unusual, but kind of cool, I think.

There were a few spelling/grammar errors, but nothing huge. Other then that, good chapter.

Ah, very curious, indeed. I thought Brendan had been possessed or something like that, but the ending makes me wonder now.

Way to keep the reader guessing...I like that. Now I feel compelled to read more and see just what the hell is going on.

Nice job setting up the character Brendan as the meek, unassuming type who would normally not be much of a choice for a protagonist, but you fixed that right away.

Not sure exactly what happened to him, but the change in him was intriguing. Makes me want to keep reading to see what happened.

As usual, your dialog is smooth and sounds like typical guy talk. Nice interaction between the characters.

Sorta creepy story, but excellently written. It's a lot different from you're other stories, and I have to say, I like your action stories better.
