I just loved your story and I don't have any criticism, sorry! The story took twists and turns that were so unexpected, it took my breath away. I came right back to where I loved it to be. Then you took it a step further and ended with the epilogue the tied it all up. I was wondering if it would be long term, and to my delight it was. I was also blown away by confirmation into Toby and Andy's friendship. So cool. I really enjoyed myself reading it and if you don't mind I would love to read some of your other works. Please don't delete any, they are all calling to me. Thank you for sharing your writing brilliance with everyone. You seem to get better, and your writing sexier the more you write; so keep going!

Okay, you've seriously made me lose a whole night's sleep. :P
It's about 4:45 in the morning, and I'm supposed to get up in an hour.
I had every intention of going to bed like seven hours ago, but by then I had already started reading this, and well, I got kinda stuck :D
Can't say that I'm complaining, though.

I really enjoyed this story. It was really good, and it had a depth that is very rare, I think.

Also, the characters seemed very real to me, and I liked the fact than you really explained the reasons for the characters acting the way they did in certain situations. Often, I find that a character's decisions and actions remain unexplained, like they do things without a motive, and that kind of ruins the story a bit, because you can't really understand why they acted the way they did.
Here though, it all seemed very clear, and I liked that, because it gave me a sort of comprehension of the story, if you know what I mean.

And being Swedish, I really loved the setting and all the "Swedish-ness" about it. :P
I especially liked the description of the Swedish summer, you know, the hysteria about midsummer and such. And, oh, those endless Kubb-games! XD

I absolutely love this story, great job!

this was absolutely magnificent. I stayed up almost all night reading this. It's so realistic and just wow...definitely something to read again with a class of wine when i'm less stressed out.
I really appreciated the little tidbits fo Sweeden that you would write at the begining. I'd like to visit there especially for the Midsummer...

Cheers.

I just want to say that this was a well-written, well-thought out work that was incredibly enjoyable to read. I loved the depth of each character (none of them felt flat or one dimensional, except ones we don't see much of, obviously), and the changes that occur to Seb over the course of the story.

I don't think you really needed the Epilogue, but it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, as some epilogues are wont to do. I'm incredibly relieved that the ending (even at chapter 24) gave me a sense of closure and warmth. This felt very realistic.

The only part that was a little unrealistic is the guy from the cafe who was stalking him. But that is forgivable because we, as the reader, are given so much warning that something like that is going to happen.

Overall, very well done!! My only regret is that I didn't find this earlier.

So I'll be honest. I started this story about two to three days ago. I read the first chapter and decided this was going to be a boring story (and since I just read a rather boring story) I wasn't willing to make the same mistake. But then chapter two came around, then chapter three, and by chapter four I stopped sleeping to read this story. I have to say you quite surprised me. I'm impressed. This story was quite fantastic. VERY REALISTIC! And not terribly clique... well a little but in a cute way. I loved it a lot. ^__^

BTW I just wanted to say the words Zick zacking amused me greatly. Obviously it was the same thing as zig zagging in the USA but it still made me smile. Also, thank you. I'm now in love with the word knackered and I only have a vague idea of what it actually means.

Well I'm off to go read some of your other stories.

Great story, absolutly brilliant, but I'm not sure how I feel about the end. I can't decide if I'm happy that Sed and Ant got together. The story itself was wonderufl; very well writtn and your attention to detail is great. I love the samll things that make it seem more real, more personal. I really enjoyed that it was written in a setting that is unfamiliar to me. I had to search what the Kubb game was! I've always loved Seb as a character; he seems like a genuinley good guy that you can't help feeling a little bit of pity for. Ant on the other hand...I'm not sure yet. I mean I understand that he was scared and he had to do the "honorable thing" but in a way it was really selfish. He wasn't willing to ive up his family and friends but he wanted Seb to always be there for him. And sure, Maria is probably "better off" being married to the biological father of her child, but there is a difference between better off and happy. But hey, we can't always like everybody. The best stories have a character that we love to hate, and for me that just happens to be Ant. Sometimes I have to remind myself that these are fictional character and not actual people. Gret stroy; like all of your work that I have read, it is amazing.
abbsi 2009-06-15 . chapter 25
Huh. I'm not sure what to say... Awesome ending. :) Endings can be tough, but you managed to tie up all the loose ends, make it feel finished, and give it that warm and fuzzy final note. So, yeah, great ending. :)
Ray Murata 2009-06-10 . chapter 25
Whoa! That was a very, very long story, dear! I've got so much to say about it.

Firstly, allow me to congratulate you for another wonderful piece of original writing! Shall I say it once again that you are "wasting" an amazing talent by spreading it just across the internet? Not that I'm sad about it, really. Considering that I live in Brazil, I doubt I'd ever get a single chance of placing my hands over European Homo-friendly books... Which would be sad, 'cause I certainly do love to read your stuff. However much, my sincere opinion is that you are a really good writer, as good or even better than some of those recent best sellers writers out there (Twilight? Come on. You rock Meyer's ass ♥).

Now, about For All waters itself... Obviously, I enjoyed it (otherwise I wouldn't even be reviewing xD!) but there's no way it's going to take In Theory's place in my heart. Though it's longer, and "newer" (still 07's, though), For All Waters is not nearly as awesome to my eyes as In Theory was/is.

At first, For All Waters sounded perfectly solid and realistic to me – At one point or another, though, I remember thinking “This is… surreal!”. Not that it is entirely bad to think that way… However, it ain’t entirely good either. Not that the plot itself is surreal, for I’ve seen something pretty similar happen in real life: The brother of my uncle’s wife broke up his marriage when his son was fifteen years old, only then telling his wife he had been keeping a homosexual affair with another man ever since their child was five.

One thing that disappointed me about For All Waters, I must say, was the ending. Not the last chapter itself, per se, but the happenings that followed Sebastian’s trip to London/encounter with Marcus. It seems to me you came to a tiredness with the story, taking yourself to end it almost abruptly. The whole story had a slow, short-paced and very detailed development. But then, “out of a sudden” (not really, but it feels that way), all the decisive things happen and, BOM, it’s over. At least to me, lots of things seemed to remain unexplained, floating in the air. I believe it must not have been your intent to show their development as a couple after they actually got together, but it seemed to me very fairy “tailey” that everything would easily fit from there on. Sure, you never said they did. You never said it was easy from there on… I just think I’d have enjoyed reading some more complications (poor Seb and Ant! Hadn’t they had enough?!) regarding their actual relationship as a couple and such.

And what about Maria, what happened to her, did she ever marry again? Did Toby actually turn gay? Never once did Toby and Andy felt unease with what happened, when they grew old enough to actually understand it? How long did it take for Olivia to understand and forgive her brother and Ant for their acts? What about Erika, left from Seb’s life?

I know those sound pretty much like random curiosity. Perhaps points of the story you didn’t bother to state considering how little importance did they have to the story itself – But if there were ever any answers to those questions, I’d so love to know.

All in all, For all Waters was a pleasing reading, as all of your stories have been so far (I’m half-way through Noah Murcutt ♥ and everything that has yet to receive a review from me are things I have yet to read) and for that I thank you and encourage you into writing more, always more.

Oh. And I’m sorry for the monster sized review. xD

With love from this fan of yours.

thanks for your story, its great. i agree with the other readers about the character development, the whole story line and such...
i especially liked your non-dialogue parts with the good descriptions of the surroundings and also the emotional state of the characters.
its good to know that there are mature stories here and not the usual teenage-fangirl fluff where nothing ever hurts.
this story is definitely worth to be a propper book.
