Poor Raine. I don't know if I can keep reading this -- I think one day Ivan's going to permanently injure Raine, and I'm not even sure he'll feel that bad about it.

As far as the plot though (engaging as it is!), it doesn't seem to be moving forward anymore. It seems to be stuck in this cycle that starts with Ivan abusing Raine, feeling bad, doing something nice, and then just going back to abusing him. How do we get out of the cycle?!

Oh gasp!
