Yo! So I read your story over the summer, I had no net [saved it on a usb] and I thought you might like a review, though it's mostly commentary. Here it is!

Melissa Thinks: Fur and Feathers takes place in a world where two clans, the Airans and the Werewolves, live at war with each other. Sasha is a werewolf and not just any werewolf, but she’s also the clan leader’s daughter. As such, she must live up tot the expectations of the pack. Things go eiry when she meets Inu, an exiled Airan in trouble and after saving each other's lives, it is their duty, as is set by their clans, to serve a life debt to one another. Sasha, as a crooked-tail (a werewolf who fancies the same sex), she finds Inu a little too attractive for her clan's liking. She must keep Inu a secret and in the process she may just fall in love.

I can always appreciate a good femmeslash story and as the Supernatural/Fantasy judge, it was a treat to read a mixture of the both. The first chapter set up the awesome world our characters live in, making me want to learn more and more about it as the story progressed. Shape shifters can sometimes be terribly cliché, but Fur and Feathers twisted the idea into something original. Sasha, as a main character, was strong and resilient with a bit of a softer side; I thought the author portrayed her well. And Inu was a sweetie pie and provided a nice mate for Sasha. There was a bit of a grammar issue at the beginning of the story, but it does improve in later chapters. There was also a little stiffness to the dialogue (one of my pet peeves), but it shouldn't be too much of a bother to any of you. If you're looking for something fresh and new, this is a story you should for sure check out.

Haha what a happy ending :) I sorta saw most of it coming but maybe I'm just an acute reader? Hehe. I enjoyed reading this, though I wished the ending was a little more dramatic and this story was long :p

Um, guy striking a girl for any reason is wimpy. I don't care that they're friends, thats still low. But then again, they're not human...

Also, Sasha prolly needs to break it off with Kel. I mean, why lead someone along and you're hurting too?

Plus, she prolly dealt a huge blow to Kel's pride by stopping her in her 'ministrations'. Anyway, I officially dislike Stephen and I feel like he showed his true colors. :(
