This story is realistic...The Analogy that you used during the story was powerful, and very real. I don't approve of suicide... But sometimes, I don't blame them for doing it... I have an odd mind. | Kleptomaniacal Tendencies 2007-09-13 ch 1, | abuseI found this story very real and (cliche!) inspirational. There's something stark and scary about suicide, whether it's fiction or reality. I think for a while it scares people away from committing, or maybe can just cause them to tip. It really depends. But I thought this was incredibly real and captured the actual essence of what it's like to get that phone call. The feelings of wanting the person to take their life like they've threatened is well placed in here, and I'm speaking from experience. It is a sort of irrational want, to just wish they'd follow through one time instead of jerking you around. But the end is true as well, the pain that can come from it. I think maybe you should spend a bit more time on the end and explore the guilt that can come from not stopping them, from assuming it's just another cry for attention. I think it would make it more interesting, more perplexing. But all in all, I think you did a great job. |
