I hate reading stories where the villain loses in a way that doesn't even make sense, or he's just a complete idiot.

I guess you get this told a lot, but this is a good story.
And that Evil Overlord List is just so totally great, it's rather impressive that I've only found ONE story on it so far...
Seems it's always easier to pick the usual villain instead of making him "better," no?
