It may be me, but I don't understand the connection between being a hero and suffering from such a punishment. Maybe it's the emphasis on crime, but there has to be a clearer way to portray this. I like the descriptions like "salty tears" and "if I was your ambrosia." The whole poem could've used a few more. Then again, this is a song, which contained the song mechanics well. I can see the chorus and the whole thing is well-organized.
