I love your description of thoughts being hung by rusty thumbtacks destined to eventually pop out and be lost one day.

It's great spontaneous stuff like this that swirls...no.../hangs/ in my head for hours then pops out of the cork board and falls away into oblivion before I can write it down. And it's great spontaneous prose like that that shouldn't be discarded for lack of dramatic rising action, climax, conflict and falling action. Maybe there is a hint of those things in this...a subtle mystifying hint.
