| Hed in the Cloudz 2008-05-24 ch 1, | abuseIf I hadn't read the summary, I would still have guessed almost those exact same words. I love the imagery you've created, and how relatable it is to any book lover-- it's the same cozy phenomenon as Cornelia Funke's "Inkheart", how you understand exactly how the character feels because it's how you feel all the time. I seem to have many issues with single words today. In this case, I don't like the presence of the word "she" in the second line-- because who else would you be describing? It seems bulky, and the phrase would work just as well as an absolute. --Yna, from the Review Marathon (see the link in my profile!) |

| sirius chatham 2007-10-06 ch 1, | abusethis piece is actually pretty good. i get a very warm and content image of the girl lying surrounded by books (which is simply the best way to be, in all honesty). I recommend you check out a book called Too Loud a Solitude, by Bohumil Hrabal. Fantastic book; your poem really reminded me of it. cheers, sirius chatham |
