That was enlightening. I'm the sort of student who puts effort into things and the effort goes unappreicated because of the bright people who get everything right without trying. I always envied them.

Sometimes, singling one student out is a way of trying to help them improve. It may feel like the teacher is picking on you, but the way you're trying to hide in your seat might make your teacher think that you just don't know the material and that others might be able to learn from whatever mistake you're going to make.

Just a thought.
