Writing in public is such a thrill- as long as no one realizes what I'm doing.

I can totally relate to this one. There is ust something about my own house that draws away inspiration. Writing here is very difficult. You could try getting one of those sun lamps. They help me a little bit. But changing your surroundings can bring inspiration anyway, so maybe not.

As for the esthetics of this poem, I didn't see too much to say. Poetry is hard to review because it is so personal. I do think, however that there are a couple lines that are perhaps in wrong places.

"There's someone next
to me"

might work better as one line ... perhaps.
