and it doesn't matter if the reader doesn't always understand.. i view poetry as a way for people to get their own feelings out (instead of having a breakdown which is not so pretty); as long as your writing means something to you, screw the rest of us (haha)

It makes sense to me. I love the lines "words are empty and feeling is nothing / when they come from you." and "-i'm sorry for trying to mean something."

Wow . . . this struck so many chords with me. The raw emotion is almost too easy to comprehend, in that sick way that makes that little glimmer of doubt flare up for just a moment. I just really wish it wasn't gleaned from a conversation . . . Then, at least, I could take comfort in thinking it had never happened, that no one was like that.
