Anyway, this is my favorite chapter. I'm glad to see Shelby is moving on. Well, she's still hung-up on Chaucer, but she's doing better.

I liked this chapter, but I think the text messaging takes away from the story a bit. It's hard to write a chapter mainly consisting of either text messages or IM messaging; it's very impersonal. But then I suppose that's exactly what you're trying to convey; that the relationship between Chaucer and Shelby has grown distant (impersonal). That's possibly why the texting doesn't bother me as much as it should.

Overall, short but sweet chapter. At least Shelby is sweet; Chaucer is such an asshole! I really don't understand what's going on between he and Ethan, and why they're so against Shelby. Well onto the next chapter to find out!

so far, I really like this story. Interesting plotline. Can't wait to see what happens next. Although, the way you've set it up, it feels like it should be longer (than intended) to really seem complete.
