i really do like this one
& mostly (for some odd reason) the easynervous tone of it.
i know those aren't the right words to describe it--but i like it all the same.
the meaning is refreshing. :) i literally smiled.

I REMEMBERED MY PASSWORD! \o/

This was amazing, seriously. I love "Vincent" (and I need to hear the Tori cover!), and this poem flowed perfectly from that same mood. The middle stanza is my favorite. I love all the references, esp. to Alfred J. Prufrock (or no, really ALL of them). Also, dark eyed servant = HOT.

The last stanza is just beautiful and haunting.

I love the Prufrock and Dorian Gray references and the juxtapositioning of the eloquent rich imagery with the harsh slap of "superficial **"...
biting, beautiful and evocative.

I love this and I think I love you; it's not often on this site I come across someone who seems to have a real vision, an understanding of language and poetry. This is beautiful and tragic, yet you make it real and modern, and it's just fantastic. The simplicity of "some other thing" really works, too, rather than being ambiguous. Just so nicely done. I'm adding you to my favorite. And oh yeah - when I saw your author's note, I knew I had to read this. Tori's my favorite. :) Keep writing! :)
