aw, poor Spirit...

The story's quite fast-paced, and a little cheesy...Spirit shouldn't have accepted her destiny so easily.

I love it! Enjoy stories about animals and I hope you keep on writing. The onlything about the story was the sold blocks of type. They were kind of hard to read. If you broke them up or double spaced them it would be easier reading. I hope you write more about cougers!

This is just a note to myself to come back and do a proper review later. A quick note on the opening, however. it reads a bit too much like a botanist's diary - big list of trees, mention of the fact that some are boreal and some deciduous, no real feeling of actually being there.

*applauds* Very beautiful, with a marvellous fairy-tale mystery about it. Loved your descriptions, and couldn't help feel a little sad at the end.

WONDERFUL STORY I HOPE you will come back and start writing again. You have everything i like in the story. Talking animals, phoenix's, dragons. I love it. I love Spirit, Eternity, and phoenix.

A beautiful story of a once happy and peaceful cougar that is metamorphosed into the form of a human, only so that she may return as the guardian of her home, the Endless Forest. A wonderful fantasy, with deeply moving undertones which urge the utmost respect for and preservation of earth's natural beauty.

An amazing short story from Scratch! She is a master at descriptive writing. I could see so clearly the characters and action of the story. I like the twist in the end but I would like to know more too. I would like to see a chapter 4 that describes how Spirit or Catrina now takes on the roll of human to protect the animals and environment of the Endless Forest. I look forward to a sequel or more.
