Ah, I adore this.
I have just memorized and performed Mercutio's dazzling speech, recently..
And I have to say, you've made it so much more beautiful.

I like this... all the Shakespeare references were great and I love how you explain all of that in the end.. great job

you took my favorite part of Romeo and Juliet and make me think of when I still liked it in the seventh grade. Queen Mab is still amazing. Mercutio is still wonderful. and your last line gives me shivers.

I definitely enjoyed it, but I'm more into modern. Your language is beautiful.

And I love the song "Siren" by Tori Amos, so I also like the title you chose, and how it ties into your poem. (Cate Blanchett is very hot; I must see that movie.)

Maybe it isn't one of your better poems but the emotions in it can still be felt and the stories you tell are always gorgeous to read. It always strikes a chord in me when sirens are mentioned in poetry too. Take care.
