vio923 2007-12-05 ch 23,	abuseI just found this story. At first I felt sorry for Daniel. He was obsessed with Gwen and she used him. After Isabella died I thought that he would 'get better' -- instead he became awful. When he married Eleanor and Martha was 'playing her games' he should have fired her. Regardless of his feelings or lack of for Eleanor, she is his wife and at least deserves respect from the servants. He also should have told Eleanor that Clara was coming to live with them. I know he feels guilty for Isabella's death and that is why he is uncomfortable around Clara. But she is his daughter after all. He's had many years to come to terms with what happened. He needs to let go of the past and move on. Eleanor, given the chance can help him heal. You said that Gwen would appear again. I hope that he doesn't give in to her again.

I admit, I didn't know what to think with the idea of an affair and such but I rather like this story so far. I like how you're having the reader go through Daniel's emotions and point of views. I don't know what the Georgina Novels are but love Wuthering Heights though, can see bits of and pieces in this story but it's so yours though. I'm looking forward for more.
