| Alaizabel Davis 2007-12-14 ch 1, | abusehmm. very interesting. i've never actually heard about that part of him. i watched him a couple of weeks ago on the dave letterman show and you would never know it, from what he was saying. but... anyway. back to your writing. i think it's very well-written and presents a strong argument. nice work. :) |
| WarlordJEREK 2007-11-23 ch 1, | abuseNice work, Crystal Stone. People do think of Al Gore as a good citizen since he's warned so many people about global warming and how to avoid and see him winning the Nobel Peace Prize as a great reward for his efforts. Unfortunatley, people have a hard time seeing the big picture whenever they focus on a part of it that is so mesmerizing that it draws all of their attention. |
| Tiefling 2007-10-29 ch 1, | abuse"Al Gore flies around the world in a private jet airplane preaching about the links between our vehicle’s toxins and our planet’s health. While he is preaching about such dangers, his private jet plane is emitting four times as many toxins as a regular commercial jet plane does per person." That's a very good point. He could argue that he needs to fly around the world to get his message out, but he doesn't need a private jet to do it. " A normal person owns one house, around 2,0 square feet in size and has an electric bill around $100 per month. " Be careful talking about 'a normal person'- it sounds a little juvenile. Many people don't own homes of any size (I'm one of them- I rent), or have homes bigger or smaller than you have described and higher or lower electric bills- does that make them all abnormal? It would be better to talk about the *average* person, and even then presumably you just mean the average American (and I wonder whether homeowners are even in the majority in the USA). You should provide some evidence of research for the statistics etc. you have used, such as a list of sources. Otherwise it looks like you may have just made it up. "Excessive consumption is one of the things that he says is a link to global warming. Should we really worry about conserving energy when the majority of families do not consume nearly the amount that he and his wife alone consume?" Well, yes, we should. Al Gore being a hypocrite doesn't make global warming any less of a threat. "Future controversies that they predict are over things such as water. They are predicting some water sources to evaporate in coming years." Those two sentences don't seem to tie in with the rest of the paragraph. "Al Gore is democratic and the media tends to be more democratic, too." That doesn't sound right. Being a Democrat and being 'democratic' are two different things. "As a matter of fact, just the other day, people were being accused of starting the California wildfires were started on purpose." The 'were started on' doesn't need to be there. |
