I really liked the bond between the two characters, the beginning and more towards the end had a really honest feel to it. The idea of the over-romantic character is actually not a far stretched one as i have met people like that in my life. Same with the Vincent character. Perhaps I really liked this because to a degree the characters resemble people I know.
I know you didn't necissarily want reviews, but It's been a while since I really enjoyed a piece on here. One thing that sort of takes away the credibility would be when the main character says something about 'going out'. I think the term just didn't fit...it seemed a little immature i guess.
But on the whole...a really nice little read and I do hope you keep the story posted up here.
