Yay for updates! I love this story, the characters and setting is so different than everything else I've read.

The quality is certainly consistent-every chapter is as good or better than the one before it.

The dresses sound lovely-but cursed or enchanted? Or is Alena's feelings just wrong and its a false lead?

That Diego is just a jerk. Alena didn't do anything that bad to him. And he was totally planning on attacking her. Oh, great job on this chapter. I especially liked when Dixie came to her aid, and then got turned against her. Are there going to be more tree elves, by the way? Au revoir

Really picking up. The last few chapters have been great, love how it's getting darker and delving deeper into things. Sorry it took me so long to review, been a bit busy with finals =/ but anyway, you're doing a great job so far. Keep up the good work and update soon =]

Oh. My. God. How is it that you only have two reviews? This is the single best story I've read on this site, and I've been active for over 2 years. This reads like a novel I'd pick up in the fantasy section of a bookstore or library. Yet it has a dark hint to it that is lacking from a lot of fantasy. The description is almost perfect, giving a clear picture of what's happening without disrupting the flow of the story.

I would critique your story but I can honestly find nothing wrong with it. I am just in awe. This is shockingly good. I am seriously humbled. You should see about getting this published. (And update, of course).

In regards to your message at the end, don't worry about it. It's still very early in the story so you have plenty of time to develop the characters :) Great job of expanding from the first chapter and it does get a bit darker toward the end of the chapter. I particularly like the way you ended it and the final line, kind of a small cliffhanger. It's good far. I hope you'll continue.

I just finished the first chapter and it seems like you've got a very interesting start here. The first chapter isn't much of the traditional horror but it is very interesting, not quite what I was expecting but I like it. The promise at the end states it'll get more horrifying so I really look forward to seeing where this will go and what type of turns it'll take. The plot description does sound very interesting so that's something to look forward to. :)
