ch 1,
abuseyou're a very good prose writer. this was a modern strangely sweet twist on that visited-by-a-ghost tale (the ghostly hitchhiker?) I did enjoy it, a lot, especially when you peaked the relevance by housing it in New Orleans. all in all- good work.

abuseThis is an interesting story and well written, but the ghost element is a bit trite and predictable--there are no new twists or surprises about it. The shining parts are the vivid, almost poetic, descriptive parts of the narrative. For example, the description of the ghost's laugh lines. In fact, they are so good they out shine the plot and storyline. In them, I think, lies your great potential as a writer. If you would be willing to risk more of yourself in your stories and be courageous in your choice of story and voice, I think your writing would be of a publishable quality. In other words, give your readers more of something universal to latch onto. I hope you keep writing and writing and writing.
