| o2l2 2007-11-13 ch 1, | abuseThis will be hard to read, but... The story felt horribly rushed, you did not even set up a setting, you relyed on HARRY POTTER, the best tip for a fantasy writer is to stay away from harry potter, eragon, and other overdone books. This story should have been streched over a few capters, it is writen on a fourth grade level. You should go back and rewrite it. Try encorperating more litterary elements ito your story. Try to lengthen your story, or multiply it four to five times. The best advice for a young writer is to avoid Cliches (things that are overdone). If your story sounds like a story that you have read, or you or any of your editors can relate your story to another story, you may want to throw it away, remember good books require quality not quantity. And dont worry a good novel can take years to write, and many copies, versions. Even if you find yourself scraping the story many times, its ok. Remember writing is artwork. You have to form your vision, it will not always come to you easily. |
