I like the theoretically meaningless, seconds long encounter and how despite this how it's obvious that it really is significant. A genius move, yet again! My only complaint is how you used repetition in the third paragraph. It's effective and all, but the fact that both parts end in the words "all week" make it so that it seems less deliberate.
