abuseI know the exact same feeling... Religion contradicts its self so many times, it's pretty much impossible to believe in the first place and having your parents force all this confusion on you is not helping at all.
Good descriptions. I like the analogies.

abuseI can sympathize with anyone who has had religion forced upon them. I was lucky enough to escape that fate, but I know that many-toomany-are not.
Absolutely wonderful poem.

abusehey. wow, powerful poem. nice way to start off "poetically" with the title (quite creative, who would have thought- "Religious Iodine"- toxic much? :P) and summary, ("forced down my throat") which were definetely eye-catching. The content was expressive and created good imagery throughout. And great, suitable word choice as well as the subtle & clever comparisons between marriage/affair/divorce and religion. Great beginning and ending. Honest (seems very candid) and unique (even if the plot/message has been done) piece of work. There were a few awkward phrases for me, but still- well-written and good job.

abuseOften I feel exactly like you... my parents force me to go to church every Sunday and forced me into confirmation there but I do NOT believe in any of it. How could we, when all of the scientific evidence we are presented with about man and evolution completely contridicts what Christians force down our throats?

abuseSo many people don't understand that religion (at least the Christian religion) is really a matter of love and not of form. Faith without works is dead, but works without faith are hard to understand. And they do force people into the religion without true understanding.

Once again, excellent visual imagery.
