It certainly seems that the same person abused both Elaine and Teresa. If Teresa was telling the truth that it was her father then Evan knows the name. All he has to do is mention his former father-in-law's name and see Elaine reaction to it - that will give him the answer he needs. That man could still be abusing other women and should be dealt with.
